What is BIS certification?

印度標(biāo)準(zhǔn)局（The Bureau of Indian Standards），簡(jiǎn)稱BIS，具體負(fù)責(zé)
產(chǎn)品認(rèn)證工作，它是印度唯一的產(chǎn)品認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)。
BIS certification is The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which is responsible for
product certification. It is the only product certification organization in India.
目前，BIS已頒發(fā)產(chǎn)品認(rèn)證證書3萬(wàn)多份，涵蓋農(nóng)產(chǎn)品、紡織品、電子等幾乎每一個(gè)工業(yè)領(lǐng)域。BIS產(chǎn)品認(rèn)證通過(guò)對(duì)工廠
質(zhì)量管理體系的初次檢驗(yàn)和評(píng)定，樣品檢測(cè)，確認(rèn)合格后發(fā)證，認(rèn)證后由工廠質(zhì)量管理體系監(jiān)督。通過(guò)對(duì)工廠和市場(chǎng)上抽取樣品進(jìn)行檢測(cè)，來(lái)確定產(chǎn)品是否與印度標(biāo)準(zhǔn)保持一致。
Up to now, BIS has issued more than 30,000 product certification .
certificates covering almost every industrial field such as agricultural products, textiles and electronics. The BIS product certification passes the initial inspection and evaluation of the factory quality management system, sample testing, and the certification is issued after passing the
certification. After the certification, it is supervised by the factory quality management system to determine whether the product is consistent with Indian standards by testing samples taken at the factory and in the market.

1、申請(qǐng) Apply
想要獲得BIS認(rèn)證的國(guó)外賣家一般需要使用專用的申請(qǐng)書，并準(zhǔn)備相關(guān)文件向BIS
新德里總部申請(qǐng)；
Foreign sellers who want to obtain BIS certification generally need to use a special application and prepare relevant documents to apply to BIS New Delhi headquarters;

2、記錄 Record
BIS將對(duì)查申請(qǐng)者提交的申請(qǐng)文件和資料進(jìn)行審查，如手續(xù)完備，將申請(qǐng)記錄在案（申請(qǐng)者須交納相應(yīng)的處理費(fèi)）；
BIS will review the application documents and materials submitted by the applicant. If the procedures are complete, the application will be recorded (the applicant must pay the corresponding processing fee);

3、初次工廠檢驗(yàn) Initial factory inspection
BIS將指派不超過(guò)2人的官員團(tuán)赴工廠檢驗(yàn)，而申請(qǐng)者也需承擔(dān)官員團(tuán)赴工廠檢驗(yàn)的差旅、簽證費(fèi)用等開(kāi)支及相應(yīng)的檢驗(yàn)費(fèi)用；
BIS will assign an official group with less than 2 persons to the factory
for inspection, and the applicant will also be responsible for the travel expenses, visa fees and other expenses incurred by the official group to the factory
inspection and the corresponding inspection fees;

4、頒發(fā)證書 Issue certificates
如果初次檢驗(yàn)和測(cè)試結(jié)果合格，且申請(qǐng)者同意認(rèn)證后執(zhí)行BIS認(rèn)可的檢驗(yàn)測(cè)試方案并支付BIS標(biāo)識(shí)費(fèi)，BIS可以向申請(qǐng)者頒發(fā)證書，證書有效期為1年。證書授予后，執(zhí)證者每年要支付
標(biāo)識(shí)費(fèi)以及證書年費(fèi)。
If the initial inspection and test results are qualified, and the applicant agrees to the BIS-approved inspection test plan and pays the BIS identification fee after approval, the BIS may issue a certificate to the applicant, and the certificate is valid for one year. After the certificate is granted, the
licensees are required to pay the logo fee and the annual certificate fee.

5、監(jiān)督 Supervision
BIS將通過(guò)對(duì)執(zhí)證人的常規(guī)監(jiān)督和對(duì)工廠、市場(chǎng)上的樣品進(jìn)行突擊檢查和測(cè)試，監(jiān)督其認(rèn)證產(chǎn)品的質(zhì)量。如果定期檢查，從工廠或市場(chǎng)抽取的試樣經(jīng)該工廠檢驗(yàn)和獨(dú)立檢測(cè)結(jié)果滿足要求，證書可予以更新。執(zhí)證者通過(guò)提交指定表格向BIS提出更新申請(qǐng)，另外執(zhí)證者還需承擔(dān)樣品檢驗(yàn)費(fèi)用。
BIS will supervise the quality of its certified products through routine
supervision of the licensee and urgent inspections and tests on samples from the factory and the market. If the sample is taken from the factory or the market, the factory inspection and independent test results meet the
requirements, the certificate can be updated. The licensees submit applications for renewal to BIS by submitting the specified form, and the licensee is also required to bear the sample inspection fee.
